Mech Bounty Strategy Guide
Mech Bounty rewards teams that treat mechs as objectives, not side quests. A single enemy mech kill is worth five standard kills — yet most squads still chase frags instead of coordinating anti-mech. This guide covers the macro decisions that win Mech Bounty rounds consistently.
Scoring Priority
Always ask: “Can we kill the enemy mech in the next 10 seconds?”
If yes, drop everything else. Five points swing rounds. If no, take safe 1-point kills that do not expose your own mech pilot.
| Situation | Priority |
|---|---|
| Enemy mech exposed in open lane | Focus fire — 5 pts |
| Enemy mech shield down after grapple-melee | Immediate team burst |
| Your mech is low with no escape | Dismount or rotate — do not feed 5 pts |
| Standard 1v1 with no mech threat | Take the 1 pt |
Team Roles
Split into three roles rather than six independent fraggers:
- Mech Pilot — experienced player with Mech Combat knowledge. Stays near team, never solos into enemy spawn.
- Anti-Mech DPS — Volta + Mech Slayer. Tracks enemy mech health and calls focus windows.
- Grapple Melee — drops mech shield with grapple-melee combo. One clean hit enables team burst.
- Escort / Flex — covers pilot, watches flanks, chips mech with Explosive P.A.I.N.T.
Map-Specific Tips
Drainage
Main culvert creates clear mech lanes. Anti-mech team holds catwalks; pilot uses thruster jumps to cross culvert without staying exposed. Do not fight in overflow tunnels while enemy mech controls center.
Plaza
Central fountain mech fights are chaotic. Pre-place Sticky P.A.I.N.T. on north arcade and south ramp to slow enemy anti-mech pushes toward your pilot.
Harbor
Container maze protects infantry from mech chaingun. Pilot should control open dock; infantry flanks through containers to hit enemy mech from angles the chaingun cannot track.
Loadout Quick Reference
Pilot: Compressor or Volta · Mech Tanker + Mech Gunner · Heal P.A.I.N.T.
Anti-mech: Volta · Mech Slayer + Glutton · Explosive P.A.I.N.T.
Melee: Echo · Martial Elite + Kill Refresh · Sticky P.A.I.N.T.
Common Mistakes
- Chasing 1-point kills while enemy mech crosses open ground
- Pilot pushing alone without escort
- Ignoring grapple-melee shield drop windows
- Using Speed P.A.I.N.T. exclusively after Patch 1.0 nerfs — consider Jump or Heal for objective holds
